GUIDE
Introduction Turkey Turunç Today Turunç History Getting There Things to enjoy Local Transport Out & AboutTurunç is located on the eastern side of the Bozburun (Loryma) Peninsula and whilst this area is reasonably well developed with the popular tourist resorts and associated amenities, the western side is still relatively undeveloped with little or no apparent impact from tourism.
There are plenty of small villages to explore and quiet coves to stop awhile and enjoy the scenery. For those with independent transport, the roads are quiet and the scenery is delightful. Taxi boats (and boat cruises) visit many of the bays such as Çiftlik and Kumlubük and also several bays which are inaccessible by road. By travelling into Marmaris, much of the peninsula can also be reached by Dolmus. For those who are reasonably fit, nearby Amos and Kumlubük are 45-60 minutes away on foot.
This section of the website provides mini-guides to all the popular villages on the Bozburun peninsula - from Hisarönu just off the main Marmaris-Datça road right to Bozburun and Sögüt at the far end. All the places described in this section (and many more) are in the tour programmes of our featured Travel & Tour agencies.
