Happy New Year to all my readers.
Well December and January have been very quiet months with not a great deal for me to comment on.
Pasha Restaurant had their usual Christmas and New Year parties which were well attended. They continue to run social events throughout the winter including quiz, race and darts nights. Musti Restaurant had a pre-Christmas "thank you" buffet for the regulars that have supported them as they try their first winter opening. Despite the weather and power cuts on 18th January the welcome back BBQ at Musti Restaurant went ahead.
Weather-wise it has been a real mixed bag. We have had some glorious sunny days with mild temperatures which included Christmas Day as you can see from these pictures ...
We have had some sunny days and nights with freezing temperatures and quite a bit of rain along with very high winds. Fortunately there has been no major damage in the village.
Unforgettables Restaurant has had a BBQ installed. Owner Baha is also producing the Turunç Gazette. I am unsure at the moment how often this will be published or whether it will be in English and Turkish .. more information as soon as I know.
Pot holes in the new road - yes, that's right! - have been 95% filled but are already showing the strain.
Part of the road from the mini-tree roundabout by Begonville Apartments has been paved.
The tree outside the cafe has come down and tree trimming has been taking place around the village.
Rumour has it that Habit Too has a new owner - watch this space for confirmation ......
